In order to get started with Defender Repellent Systems® with Scotchgard™ Treatment we encourage you to send your footwear to either the PLF Lab or TLH-China Lab in order for us to do our initial testing.
PLF has multiple Defender Formulas all with different properties so almost any substrate can be treated without affecting the look, feel or breathability.
Our testing is critical in determining which formula, consumption in grams per pair and any issues we see with the treatment. Upon doing this Prime will supply a “style test report” outlining all relevant information.
By doing this we are able to have a reference for PLF, TLH, 3M, your company, and your specified factory.
Determining the proper formula safeguards against the footwear becoming shiny, sticky or not achieving proper repellency.
Pricing, Consumption & Hangtags
Fluid pricing will be based on location of the shoe factory, number of grams used to treat the style/s and projected consumption. Projected treatment date, shoe factory name, address and key contact information will be required.
The Leather House, will provide pricing, communicate direct with the shoe factory, train the factory, and will be available for assistance and testing to insure the footwear is properly applied and meets 3M Specifications for using the Scotchgard™ Protector Brand.
The Leather House will also be responsible for shipping the chemical and Scotchgard™ Protector hang tags to the shoe factory.
3M requires that all Scotchgard™ Protector hang tags be documented and accounted for so the number of hang tags provided will be based on chemical consumption.
